Designed for FAMILIES! Having four kids of our own and being part of a large extended family, The Farmhouse was designed for families looking to get away and enjoy some time together. Whether you have older or younger children, the games (indoor and outdoor), 55” smart TV, hammocks, and bean bags are just a few things that are sure not to disappoint. But, you do not need kids to enjoy this space. Have a cup of coffee or tea while sitting out on the patio, enjoy an evening out by the fire pit, or grill and eat outside under the covered picnic area. All are welcome to come, relax, and enjoy The Farmhouse! Do You Like GAMES? If you are a game enthusiast, this place is for you! Filled with board games, card games and outdoor games for all ages, come and play and let your worries take a break or disappear altogether. From an oversized Connect Four for the littles, to a strategic game of Catan for the bigs, to a relaxing game of Corn Hole for two, to a family game of Wiffleball for all. Yes, you read it correctly, there is a full size WIFFLEBALL FIELD, so come and play! Wiffleball bats and balls are provided as well. And if you hit a home run, there may be a spot for you to become a little famous… well, here at The Farmhouse anyway ;). Want to Support LOCAL? Something we enjoy doing and have been able to do with The Farmhouse is support local craftsmen. As you enter The Farmhouse, several pieces throughout the space have been designed by some amazing individuals giving it that rustic farmhouse feel we were hoping for. And we also wanted to show off their skills to our guests! We currently feature 5 local craftsmen at The Farmhouse and have them listed in our welcome book. So if you like one of their pieces, let us know, we can hook you up! Free to ROAM Guests will have private access to the fully air-conditioned Farmhouse and roughly 1.5 acres of the property filled with free parking, outdoor games, fire pit, BBQ grill, covered picnic area, hammocks, and wiffleball field. Inside you will have free WiFi, washer & dryer (detergent provided), a fully stocked kitchen of essentials, 55” smart TV, board games, card games, bean bags, basic bathroom essentials, and beds (king, queen, full, & twin) to hopefully give you that peaceful night's rest. An air mattress can also be provided depending on number of guests.

Other Details to Note

★ HOUSE HAS CHARACTER ★ This is a 50+ year old farmhouse that has been renovated inside and out. However, it still has held onto its character along with some of the charms of its age (squeaky floors and small cracks due to foundation shifting over time). ★ FILTERED WATER PROVIDED ★ The water on the property is fine to drink but has a strong iron content. Filtered water (cold and instant hot) has been provided for your convenience. ★ MORE PROPERTY COMING ★ Your property access is 1.5 acres of the almost 11-acre estate and the barn on the property is not accessible to guests. This will change in the future as we continue to renovate (Game Barn and Glamping sites coming!). ★ EAST TEXAS FRIENDS ★ Although we spray the house inside and outside regularly, keep it cleaned, prepped, and maintained after each guest, please remember that this is a 50+ year old farmhouse out in the East Texas piney woods country. You may come across some of our East Texas friends (crickets, fire ants, etc.). ★ COVID-19 SANITIZATION ★ Heath, safety, and well-being of our guests are of utmost importance. For this reason, we use a thorough and extensive cleaning process after each check-out. ★ NO PETS ALLOWED ★ We love those little (and not so little) furry bundles of joy. Sadly, our home is not suitable to accommodate them. If you sneak in a pet, you will be charged an additional $300 and asked to leave. ★ NO SMOKING INSIDE ★ Please refrain from smoking inside the home! Any smoking evidence will result in a fee for Oder Removal, Duct Cleaning, and Furniture Cleaning. ★ NO PARTIES/EVENTS ★ We kindly ask you to treat our home as your own to preserve its pristine condition for future guests and your return visits. We had an amazing time at The Farmhouse! Our family of six had a blast with all the games. The wiffleball field and the board games kept the kids entertained the entire trip. The property is clean, spacious, and has everything you need for a comfortable family stay. The outdoor space is great...and we spent most of our time outside. Brandon was an outstanding host. He was super responsive from the moment we booked, and during our stay he actually brought us extra games to make sure we were having a great time. That kind of personal touch is rare and really made us feel welcome. You can tell he and his family put a lot of thought and care into this place. If you're looking for a family-friendly getaway where the kids can run around, play, and just be kids, this is the spot. Highly recommend The Farmhouse!

We loved The Farmouse! Traveled with our 3 kids and had some ‘cousin crew’ time while we were there. There was something for everyone between the fire pit and marshmallows, wiffleball field, swings, cornhole, hammocks etc. The host has genuinely put his efforts into a well-appointed and intentionally thought out stay with his guests comfort and peace of mind as the priority. I’m a seasoned Air B&B’er who’s really picky about cleanliness and the Farmhouse sparkled! Beds and linens were primo, kitchen was well-stocked, and even H&B items were provided! Communication gets an A+ also. If you go into town, must try Jucy’s Burgers! If you have littles, try out the WOW Museum and Skyview park. Thx for helping us deposit some fun memories!

We had a wonderful stay and are already planning our next one! It was exactly what our family was looking for. The accommodations were great, everything was tidy and there were fun things to do inside and outside. They had a fantastic and fun chart on the wall which was great for finding things to do and places to go! It’s a perfect place to make a home while exploring east Texas. We HIGHLY recommend a drive to the city of Jefferson (be sure to check out the general store there) and the Oil museum in Kilgore.

This was the perfect spot for our weekend family visit. We had a wonderful time enjoying the amenities on the property and had everything that we needed to make breakfast and serve lunch. The beds were very comfortable, water pressure great, and the home very welcoming. The host communication was extremely thorough and when we were in need of a small item (clothing iron) the host responded right away and brought one to us immediately. Their passionate desire to make sure that we were comfortable was obvious! We will definitely stay again when visiting Kilgore.

100000/10 ⭐️ This place was absolutely amazing. Super clean, incredibly well stocked, and clearly designed with families in mind. There were so many things to keep my toddler entertained, which made the stay so enjoyable and stress-free. It truly felt like a family-bonding focused home. They literally had everything we could possibly need. Hands down one of the best stays we’ve ever had—we would come back in a heartbeat.

The Farmhouse was perfect for our stay! Spacious, comfortable, and clean. It is so cutely decorated and set up nicely! So many thoughtful touches inside and outside! A treat basket was waiting upon arrival, full of fun snacks and candies. A coffee bar set up with various coffees, teas, and filtered water was well used each morning. A fully stocked kitchen allowed us to prep meals easily. Bed was super comfortable with extra pillows and blankets. Loved relaxing in the living room in the evenings, with plush sofas, electric fireplace, and a big screen tv. Having a washer and dryer available was nice as well. We were there during an unusually cold spell or would have loved to use the outside fire-pit, which the owners son had so thoughtfully gathered a wagon full of wood and kindling for us. Next time! Owner was a pleasure to work with during the entire reservation and help make our stay in the Kilgore area a wonderful time.

Find us

You are out in the country, so really the only way to get around is by car. And we are too far out for any services (Uber, Lyft, etc.). The closest grocery store is about a 8-10 minute drive. If you bring bikes, it is a fine neighborhood to ride bikes in, and also a pleasant area to walk. But if you want to get anywhere (eat out or check out the area), you'll want to go by car.
